Thank you for visiting my blog!
First of all, to explain the name of the blog, I am a traditional witch, who lives an urban life in a small town in the outskirts of London. The Urban Trad Witch is who I am and what I practice. Essentially, it’s a description of my life (because my practice doesn’t end when I snuff the last candle).
As I am writing this blog, I am downloading my brain, into it with my perspective of the craft. Sometimes they are philosophical thoughts, and sometimes they are just rants.
But that is the only way I will be able to share what I gather and what I learn about my path, hoping that a baby witch, sometime in the future, or a fellow practitioner who has unpopular beliefs reads this and finds some comfort that they are not alone in this whole wide wicked world driven by somewhat mainstream practices. Just like when I was starting and a particular blog post has given me more answers than I ever found in dozens of books.
The voices of traditional witches are slowly being muffled by the boisterous trumpets of mainstream practices, and it is crucial that we share as much as we can so the information gets out there. To help other witches, who may be overwhelmed by all the information they read, in so many books. For those who want to learn a path that is not yet written in books other than grimoires shared between generations, from teacher to student, from parent to child.
I am writing this blog in the hope that traditional witchcraft doesn’t die with us. So we can leave a legacy behind us for others to take and evolve.
Welcome, to The Urban Trad Witch.
